Uses for our learning services

 

 

Dispersing of information:

The Federal Government asked us to create a game show type of event that would chronicle the achievements their global department had accomplished that year. The event had to keep their audience of over 500 attentive for over an hour, giving them statistical and numerical information in a fun and engaging way. We created a team-style game show, using parts of Feud and Millionaire. Teams consisted of managers that were given multiple choice questions and life-lines. Our client was completely happy with the results of our efforts.

 

Training Review:

A telecommunication company wanted to measure how much training was absorbed during their full day training course. We used training questions in a Feud style format. The trainees were divided into teams, unaware that in the back of the room, we had placed the trainers, who were taking notes when wrong answers were given. The client was amazed at how impressive this was in finding out the effectiveness of their training.

 

Relationship Building:

 A Fortune 100 international company was having a 3 day conference, bring together many of their worldwide sales teams. These were people who would need to be working virtually and my client wanted them to have a better personal understanding of their counterparts. Since these attendees would be from different cultures a typical game format would not work well. We divided them into teams of 5-8 people each and had them do a problem solving activity, which lasted 1 hour. We delivered a mini personality assessment, including a 1 hour conversation and debriefing on what was learned about each other.

A manufacturing company managers' retreat took place at a remote location and the client wanted us to do a game show that would have the managers get to know each other better. We designed a "Newly-Aquainted Game Show" for these 20 managers. The client was so pleased, they had us stay an additional day to do another different team building game show.

 

Ice Breaker:

A security company wanted to have us to set the tone for an all day training session for their managers. They wanted us to start the morning with a fun game show to get their “creative juices” flowing for a very intense training day. This client has since used us several times to do this activity to begin their training sessions.

 

Collaboration and Communication:

A small IT firm wanted to engage their engineers to work together better in teams. We created a problem solving activity with variables including individual effort, team effort, time limits, group involvement, limited attempts, etc. We then review the results and how the different working environments effected the outcomes.

Our client was delighted with how we were able to engage these "left brained" employees in a way that convinced them of the positive results of teamwork.
